Our client is a well-known and respected dessert manufacturer with nearly 50 years of history. They are in search of a new President, to take over leadership from the founder/operators and fully capitalize on the potential of the brand in Canadian and US markets.
We are looking for a President with strong operating experience. There is much opportunity to modernize and standardize operating processes and systems across the organization; the ability to prioritize and integrate initiatives and get the greatest return on resources will be critical. At the same time, top-line growth is required to increase capacity utilization. Striking the right balance between that growth and cost control, and ensuring delivery on projects, will be the key to success. And the current economic forces impacting the entire food sector, including significant cost inflation on inputs, has added additional challenge.
A strong leadership team to support the president has been built, bringing functional experience from across the food sector. Identification, selection and efficient and rapid implementation of the highest-return projects and initiatives will allow the team to unleash their power!
This role will appeal to a leader with “large-company training” in the CPG sector; and “small-company hands-on experience”, that is, someone who has proven their ability to succeed in a resource-constrained world. A compensation package including participation in value creation will be offered to the right candidate.
