We’re supporting an exciting organization in the GTA in identifying an Interim VP, Finance to step in during a period of leadership absence. This is a critical role that will provide immediate support to the CEO, guide a dedicated finance team, and ensure continuity across key financial functions during a pivotal time.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic financial leadership and hands-on support to the CEO and executive team.
- Lead and mentor the finance team to ensure continuity, accountability, and performance.
- Manage urgent priorities including:
- Cash flow oversight and banking relationships.
- Audit preparation and execution (general and service-specific).
- Board and committee reporting, including financial presentations and risk assessments.
- Support ongoing systems and technology implementations while maintaining operational focus.
- Strengthen internal controls, reconciliations, and documentation to ensure compliance and transparency.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to assess risks, stabilize operations, and prioritize urgent issues.
- Engage confidently with the Board and external stakeholders, including funders and auditors.
What Sets You Apart
- Proven experience in interim or senior finance leadership roles, ideally within complex, service-based or not-for-profit environments.
- Strong audit, reconciliation, and documentation skills, in dealing with external funders.
- Skilled in cash flow planning, banking, and payment processes with a focus on control and precision.
- A calm, steady presence under pressure—able to build trust quickly and lead with integrity and empathy.
- Confident communicator with the presence to engage senior stakeholders and Board members.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity, assessing priorities, and delivering results in fast-moving environments.
- Experience supporting organizational transformation, including systems upgrades or ERP implementations.
