Russell Investments Canada Limited (RICL) is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join its team as the President of RICL and Head of Advisor and Intermediary Sales (AIS), Canada. This pivotal leadership role offers the unique opportunity to shape the future of Russell’s Canadian business and lead a high-performing team to new heights, fostering growth and success in the investment management industry.

As the President of RICL & Head of AIS Canada, you will be at the forefront of the Canadian operations, responsible for the business's strategic direction, growth, and profitability. You will lead the Canadian Advisor and Intermediary Sales team, driving net new cash flow growth, expanding market presence, and ensuring the firm exceeds revenue and AUM targets.

Your role will also involve overseeing the governance and day-to-day operations of RICL, ensuring RICL meets all regulatory requirements as you serve as the Ultimate Designated Person (UDP) with the Securities Commissions.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership & Team Management: Lead and inspire the Wholesaling, National Strategic Accounts, and Inside Sales teams. Develop and enhance distribution capabilities across mutual funds, ETFs, SMAs, and alternatives. Foster a culture of accountability, excellence, and diversity within the team.
  • Strategy & Business Planning: Align sales activities with RICL’s strategic goals. Drive growth through refined sales strategies, leveraging technology and data analytics. Manage and enhance relationships with key national strategic accounts.
  • Client Relationship Management: Strengthen client relationships by delivering customized investment solutions that enhance client satisfaction and retention. Position Russell Investments as an indispensable advisor through strategic advice and exceptional service, ensuring continued success and a strong reputation for excellence.
  • Innovation & Strategic Growth: Identify and incorporate industry-leading new investment distribution, strategic accounts, and advisor/dealer engagement into the client coverage model.  Ensure RICL’s strategic growth initiatives align with product and marketing growth plans.
  • President Role & Representation: Represent RICL in the industry and with strategic partners. Oversee Canadian governance and compliance as UDP. Actively participate in North American industry committees and conferences.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, marketing, or a related field; MBA, CFA, or CIM preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 to 15 years of leadership experience in sales and distribution within the financial services or investment management industry.
  • Proven track record of business growth, client management, and sales strategy execution.
  • In-depth knowledge of the advisor community and investment management industry.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • High level of integrity, ambition, and energy to build and maintain credibility within the industry.
